VCO Esports - World Ranking System

Here's a rough idea of how it works:

Teams participating in VCO-recognized events will be added to the “World Ranking System” and earn points for their ranking. However, teams must also participate in three other championships in two years to qualify. An example is the iRacing Special events or part of the "Skill Tier Ranking System."

Drivers in these championships will add points to a Team's ranking position. The amount a driver will add to their team's points will depend on where the tournament is ranked in the Skill Tier Ranking System.

First, the system's first year should focus on iRacing since many teams, including the top-level teams, compete on these services. Afterward, it is up to the higher-ups to expand to other game titles.

Skill Tier Ranking System

Here is an example of how many points a championship is determined:

  • How fast are the competitors?

  • What makes them distant?

  • How significant is their presence in the community?

S-tier Championships (The most competitive and popular)

  • Ex. eNASCAR, PESC, F1 Simracing, IMSA Esports or iRacing Special Events

A-tier Championships (ambitious and semi-popular)

  • Ex. IVRA, Apex Racing League, British F4 or WGTC

B-tier Championships (upcoming and "keep a look out")

  • Ex. European SportsCar Championship or PRL
